Listen!

Listen!

I had the joy of listing to a few of the other group’s radio shows this week. I ended up missing class on Tuesday and caught the 2 shows that aired then. I was unable to make Wednesday’s broadcast. Ravioli Radio played Monday with another show. I was able to listen then too. I had an exceptional busy week with my kids, so I was unable to give the shows the attention they deserved. I was able to catch bits…

Ravioli Radio

Ravioli Radio

This was a fun project. I was one of the editors of the final piece. Destiny had the honor of doing the final edit and upload. This is a sample of what some of the updates on the google doc looked like on Friday while we did the put together. We are short by almost 10 mins!  We are now at 27 mins and 50 sec We made more character dialog on Friday to lengthen the show. I think it…

Radio Show Week 2

Radio Show Week 2

Tuesday We got quite organized in week one. I thought we had planned for different people to put the different sections together and then one person takes the sections and make it all one. I had volunteered for the final edit and put the sections together. I did not explain well enough the idea and I was left to put it all together. (I realized this before Tuesday) I do not mind really. I think my character had the least…

Who is She Talking Too?

Who is She Talking Too?

I found an audio assignment 1665 Have a Phone Conversation with Yourself. I decided to use this for Lady Alice’s part of the radio show. You get a sneak peek at the show and are left hanging on what is fully going on. Have fun guessing what is being said on the other side of the phone. Well, that was an interesting phone call.

Radio Show Week 1

Radio Show Week 1

I made a Google doc on Monday with an outline for the show. It is a good jumping off point for the group to discuss and make changes. I also used the outline provided on weeks 9 and 10 post to make a list on the Google doc of everything out show needs to contain. At least 2 of the group members work during the day so I had to prepare to wait all day for it to be seen….

Everlast Pets – Fictional Ad

Everlast Pets – Fictional Ad

I made a commercial for Everlast Pets. I had previously made a PSA for the fake product, and I had wanted to make just an ad for it. I used Narakeet.com for the voices and Freesound.org for the music and other sounds used. Overall, I like how my commercial turned out. The picture is of my lab and a few weeks old kitten. They are still the best of friends. 11780 labrador dog barks.wav by Robinhood76 — freesound.org/s/700748/ — License: Attribution NonCommercial…

PSA – Everlast Robotic Pets

PSA – Everlast Robotic Pets

I knew I wanted to do something with AI pets, when possible, this semester. I thought with a PSA it was a great opportunity. I watched Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers as a child. There is an episode with a robotic cat that is good until Fat Cat finds a way to make it bad. This gave me inspiration for the project. What pulls on heart strings better than children? Pets. What if you could have a pet that never…

911 what’s your emergency?

911 what’s your emergency?

The following is a fake 911 call Lady Alice E Smythe made as a child. It is an example of her character trait of knowing more than everyone else. I estimate her age in the recording to be around 9 years old. sit back and enjoy listing to the “emergency”. The voices are mine or my 9-year-old child. I made her so it counts. I hope you enjoyed the little story as much as I enjoyed making it.

Hear it Here – and a Podcast?

Hear it Here – and a Podcast?

Audio Assignment 416 Hear it Here I wrote a very short little story that uses homophones. The words sound like other words, but can you tell what they mean without seeing the spelling? enjoy the recording. I used a new microphone attached to headphones to do this recording. I think it is a little scratchy sounding. I need to work on making it clearer. Until this week I hadn’t made a voice recording before on a computer. When I was…

Sound Effect Story – Walking a Dog

Sound Effect Story – Walking a Dog

I had a difficult time thinking of something to do a story on with no words. It came down to crunch time Friday afternoon and I had no ideas. Hopefully you don’t find this too boring, but it is a rather peaceful walk. So, sit back and destress and enjoy the sounds of taking a dog out without leaving your seat. I used sounds I found on Free sound and the following are a few of the ones I used….
